Historically, the Chauveau family already owned vineyards since the 19th century but the activity of mixed farming remained dominant.
When Benoit took over his parents’ vineyards in 1995 and his grandparents’ vineyards in 1997, the Domaine Chauveau became exclusively a wine estate. He dedicate himself to the cultivation of the vine and the wine making. His wife Emmanuelle, who joined him a few years later, manages the administrative and commercial side.
